The tracks led Badger north towards an empty parking garage, and as he approached he could see the footprints end at the entrance where the snowfall was unable to reclaim the inside of the structure. He was wary of being ambushes, so his paced slowed and he pulled out his sidearm. As he entered he checked his corners, taking his time to ensure each area was clear before proceeding to next floor. He made sure to move slowly to keep his footfalls quiet, so he couldn’t be heard by anyone nearby. Something was off, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
